A New Door Opens

For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries. ~ I Cor. 16.9

No regrets. Can you say you have never – EVER – regretted something?

Neither can I. Yesterday, I blogged about the new year being an open door. Baxter continues this thought with today’s devotional. Specifically, he talks about the door being closed on the past and now being opened to a future that is yet to unfold.

That future is one of opportunity. However, too often, we fail to realize or accept those opportunities:

The “god of this world” blinds their minds. Let us not be like them. May we see the new year to be what it really is – a “great door” opened to us.

That sounds like good advice. The door is open. It is open to a richer fellowship with God and it is open to a greater usefulness for Christ.

My prayer for today is that you and I will view as would an optimist: able to see an opportunity in every difficulty.
