No Other Rock

Yesterday’s devotion talked about Jesus overcoming the ways of the world - thus becoming a conqueror of the world. Jesus overcame the flatteries, hostilities and principles of the world. Since that time, the prince of this world (Satan) has acquired so many new toys to enthrall us with the ways of this world.

While Jesus would certainly overcome them, the temptation seems irresistibly strong and often become breaking points for us. Even in His fiercest moment on earth, Jesus said “Father, forgeive theml they know not what they do.” How many of us would be so strong?

Today, my prayer for you and I is that we’ll discover the supreme wonder of the Christian experience - that our hearts will become truly consecreted by the Mighty Victor.
