Forty Days and Ten

In the last paragraph of today’s devotion, Baxter suggests we meditate on this:
Look again at those first disciples - convinced of His resurrection; instructed in the Word; prepared for the Lord’s control; assured of His real presence; inspired with missionary zeal; united in purpose; and now continuing “with one accord” in prayer. That is how Pentecost camel and that is how it still repeats itself in Christian fellowship today. Yes, the power fell on a prepared and praying group, and then “turned the world upside down”.
Today, my prayer for you and I is that we will seek prayerfully seek God’s will and unite in His purposes.
