Prevailing Prayer

June 23, 2007 at 7:00 am | In Awake My Heart, Prayer |

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. ~ James 5:16

There are many realities in our world that cannot be seen through telescopes or decided by mathematics.

God seeks the co-operation of free-willed intercessors to bring about the free-willed response of other human beings; and if the intercessor continues in earnest prayer, there comes a point when God can say in all righteousness against the powers of evil, “Should not this much-prayed-for soul be released?” - and the constraining power of the Holy Spirit becomes victorious in the soul of the one for whom we have prayed.

Today, my prayer for you and I is that we will be intercessors for many others.
