The Name « No Other Rock

The Name

There is No Other Rock.

In life, we are interrupted in our walk with Christ by so many things; TV, Sports, Career, Music, Internet, Ourselves . . .

These things that are all part of the thing we call ‘life’ are often pursued to extremes. So much are they pursued, they become obsession and are mistakenly ascribed as ‘passion’ within the individual. Yet, this simple passage tells us how foolish we sometimes are:

Isaiah 44:8
Do not tremble, do not be afraid.
Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago?
You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me?
No, there is no other Rock; I know not one.”

From this passage, comes the name of this blog, No Other Rock.
